At AYRE, we use three materials. Organic cotton,
linen, and wool. That's it.
Organic cotton
Grown without toxic pesticides. Certified by GOTS —
the gold standard for organic textiles globally.
Linen
Made from flax. No irrigation, no pesticides. Gets
softer with every wash and lasts decades.
Wool
Temperature regulating, naturally odour resistant,
biodegradable. One good wool piece outlasts ten
cheap ones.
What about polyester?
Polyester and nylon shed microplastics with every
wash — particles now found in human blood and breast
milk. Some emerging research also suggests certain
synthetic chemicals may be associated with hormone
disruption. We'd rather not risk it. So we don't
use them.
